Docktails - It's More Than The Drink
For us, docktails are about so much more than the drink itself. They're about the experience, and the social interaction. Exploring new places. Meeting new people.
Last night at Ulele in Tampa, FL, was exactly the experience we love. Ulele is located along the northern end of the beautiful Tampa River Walk. As soon as we arrived at the outside bar, we were greeted by enthusiastic and passionate Head Brewmaster, Tim Shackton. Tim is all smiles, and clearly loves brewing and pairing their brews with their menu items.
Within a minute, we had their fabulous Green Cannonball IPA in front of us, followed up with a sample of their stout. Tim pushed us outside our comfort zone and talked us into their oysters to pair with the IPA - a first for us (oysters, that is...we've had plenty of IPAs).
Tim finished off our experience with their Blueberry Stout Affogato dessert cocktail, which you have to experience when in Tampa. The mix of stout and blueberry ice cream is an adventure for your taste buds.
The views at Ulele are a bonus. The experience is one of the best we've had. Thanks, Tim and Ulele!
